Lee Hyori - Swing

Now, the music video of Swing might have been confusing for some of you guys since the storyline is a bit difficult to understand. The clown in the video represents Lee Hyori’s ex-boyfriend. Whoever it may be, the clown is supposed to come off as a hurtful and almost scary ex-boyfriend she’s had in the past. Since the whole song is about love and despair, it’s likely that an ex is incorporated into the MV.
It’s also supposed to show that he killed her emotionally. In terms of love, he broke her by either going behind her back, breaking up with her or moving on, your choice to choose. The director of the music video said that the luggage is Hyori. This means that whenever the luggage was in the frame, Hyori wasn’t and vice versa.
Because the clown, her ex, “killed” her, she is back to haunt him. That is why she is always behind him and surrounding him while he doesn’t even notice her. He tries to get rid of her by shooting and breaking the mirror but it doesn’t really work. All Hyori wants is to be loved again, which you can tell from the lyrics.
She also uses past memories to haunt him such as the black balloons and the red shoes. It’s hard to say exactly what those things represent but it’s definitely something those two had memories of in the past.
In the end, it is however you would want to interpret it so nothing is wrong or right but this is one way to look at it. I do have to give it up for Hyori for being original with this music video. While others would have incorporated flashbacks to show the how they broke up with the boyfriend, she decided to make it more mysterious. Hope this cleared up some of the confusing parts of the video.
There are so many ways this MV can be interpreted, i just like the abstract-ness of it all.

KARA - Lupin
KARA returns with a new song! A couple of new songs to be exact, but I only like this one song.
I have never been a fan of Kara and I don't listen to their songs, because I.. just wasn't a fan of them. However, this song is the hit! From the music to the choreography, it's pretty good.
Read from OMNTD that the girls went to lose more weight so that they can portray the sexy image. I seriously don't agree with the already skinny girls losing MORE weight. Once again, it comes to show how damn superficial the entertainment industry is eh?
Anyway, meeting up with Chuwen later over a cup of tea/coffee and kaya toast! Been a long time since we have seen each other, I am looking forward to it! :D
Will have to remove my sapphire blue nail polish before I start work! ㅠ_ㅠ

260210 Ivan's Birthday Celebration
A very special birthday cake!
Happy 20th birthday Ivan, hope you enjoyed the cake and the 2 days of celebration!
I am glad that we had gone to Marina Barrage to have a simple kite-flying outing!
I have been going out almost every single day, now that I am enjoying my freedom! The taste of freedom is sweet, but it is ending soon... Work starts for me next Thursday onwards, and I will work at least 6 hours everyday. The good thing is that I will get to earn money $$$$$$~
I have got a band I want to introduce! They are the 3 Musketeers from Korea, a trot band who caught my attention when I was watching Popular Music for U-Kiss, 2AM, CN.Blue and Kara.
Their song is really cute isn't it? :D
