appreciate and cherish before you complain about food that doesn't taste nice, think about the many people in the world who can't even get a grain of rice. before you complain that the rain has gotten your new shoes dirty, think about the people who pray for rain. think about the people who walks bare-footed everywhere. before you complain that your parents nag too much, think about the orphans who long for a parent's touch. before you complain that your handphone isn't good enough, think about the people who do not even have a phone at home. before you complain that you no longer want to live, think about the people who wished so much to live, and yet couldn't. before you complain that you are not rich enough, think about the people who are poorer than you. before you complain that nobody listens to you, think about when you actually listened to others. before you complain that you are not fortunate enough, think about others who have so many more misfortunes than you, and yet are still living well. before you complain that school sucks, think about the children who wish so much for a proper education in a proper school. before you complain that your house is never big enough, think about the people who are homeless and sleeping by the roadside. As I grew older, I started learning the importance of cherishing. I would cry if I ever think of my parents leaving me, and that, taught me to cherish. If my life is without friends, that would be horrible too. There are many times we tell ourselves, "We should learn to cherish now." Have we really learnt? Have we started cherishing the things around us? I certainly haven't. I still find it hard to tell my mum and dad that I love them so much because they are really really 伟大. That they have done so many things for me and my siblings that I cannot recall all of them. How my mum always stood up for me, even when I'm in the wrong. I remember a few days before I dropped out of AJC, the principal reprimanded me because I kept skipping school and produced such horrible results. My mum stood up for me and argued that I was really sick even though she knew that I skipped school on purpose. I was so touched. I remember the time when dad fork out $10 for me to go out when he was running out of money and payday wasn't anywhere near, how he always tried his best to give me money when i asked.. no matter how broke he already was. My father has to continue working such a tough job despite his medical condition, getting sunburnt everytime because he has to work under the scorching sun. How my father has to undergo endless painful tests to confirm that his cancer is under control, going to work even though he is having a fever for the sake of his salary.. The big smiles on my parents' faces when I treated them to just a simple salad and drinks at Delifrance, or a meal at KFC. They cherish me, and thus I should cherish them. I love my parents, I hope one day I will find the courage to tell them. My siblings, how my sister has a birthday present for me every year, even though she makes it herself. The card she made for me when I was sick.. How my brother would go to supper with me when I asked, his standing up for me when I get nagged at by mum. I love my siblings too, but I don't have the courage to tell them too. Friends who are there to laugh with me, to bitch with me, to help me out when I'm in need, to be my ATM, to be my friend, I thank you all so much. There's nothing more accurate than "A friend in need is a friend indeed". :) Monday, October 29, 2007 @ 4:43 PM
a nice beginning A new school week which I guess started out pretty okay, I think. There are many things that is unresolved, and I hope things would smoothen themselves out. Time is probably the best healer, or the best destroyer of relationships. Anyway, I am feeling so friggin achy all over, so tired, so moody because my "great auntie" is here. HAHAH. That's like announcing to the whole world, but I feel terrible everytime my great auntie visits me so please do forgive me if i do or say anything wrong, I seriously SERIOUSLY SERIOUSLY don't mean it. I only mean it when I say it to Clare. HUR. I hope the week will go on smoothly! :D Enough sleep will do the trick. My goal of this week is to try and enjoy my lessons. TRY. I actually went for FABM tutorial today, actually I planned to skip because I was just feeling muscle-achy all over and my eyes were just closing on me. JIAYOU MAN. Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson Grew up in a small town And when the rain would fall down I'd just stare out my window Dreaming of what could be And if I'd end up happy I would pray (I would pray) Trying hard to reach out But when I tried to speak out Felt like no one could hear me Wanted to belong here But something felt so wrong here So I prayed I could break away [Chorus:]I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly I'll do what it takes til' I touch the sky And I'll make a wish Take a chance Make a change And breakaway Out of the darkness and into the sun But I won't forget all the ones that I love I'll take a risk Take a chance Make a change And breakawayWanna feel the warm breeze Sleep under a palm tree Feel the rush of the ocean Get onboard a fast train Travel on a jet plane, far away (I will)And breakaway [Chorus] Buildings with a hundred floors Swinging around revolving doors Maybe I don't know where they'll take me but Gotta keep moving on, moving on Fly away, breakaway I'll spread my wings And I'll learn how to fly Though it's not easy to tell you goodbye I gotta take a risk Take a chance Make a change And breakaway Out of the darkness and into the sun But I won't forget the place I come fromI gotta take a risk Take a chance Make a change And breakaway, breakaway, breakaway OH! And I forgot to blog about my day today with Clare, and Elaine. LOL! Was late for HOM tutorial, as usual! And Clare was feeling the same way too. Gosh, we totally entertained ourselves throughout tutorial! LOL! Super funny please, I shall post the conversation up.
TMR'S OFFICIALLY BMGT DAY! YAY. Friday, October 26, 2007 @ 2:11 AM
Thursday Celebrated Qiuyan's birthday in the morning before our first class at 12pm! We brought the cake up intending to eat it during tutorial, but I guess our MAEC teacher wasn't too happy about the whole class running out halfway through her first lecture with us. So, we only got to eat the cake during the break! Most of the time, I was either trying to sign in to MSN or IF I'm signed in, I would probably be crapping with Clare. She's like the reason to why I don't pay attention in class. HAHAH. Went to Fish and Co Glass House with Clare, Cerise and Elaine after class! ![]() ![]() ![]() We cleaned the food up.
I love hot fudge chocolate cake! Next time it can just be my main course then I'll mix it with garlic lemon butter (Can imagine everyone's disgusted faces). Haha! :D Alright, I shall update till here for the time being. It's 3am and I am so tired, lesson starts at 10. SHIT. Wednesday, October 24, 2007 @ 9:49 PM
bu yong ma fan le I dunno whether this mess is cleared up, somehow it seems a little superficial. I will never force myself to like someone whom I really dislike, dislike to an extent that even the thought of seeing this specific person would make me feel moodless. And there are people who should change their way of thinking, to take up a new attitude to face the situation they are in, or else the problem will never be solved. I think this applies to myself too. There are many things that I need to learn, because at the age of 18 I am still so ignorant. I have learnt a lot after stepping out from the comfort zone of a structured education system to another system where everything is so, different. Of course I love Poly life, but things are so much more complicated from my point of view. I am damn confused, and I really don't know how to express myself in words. I want to say it out, but it's too complicated. So complicated I can only put my problems into a stupid blog entry for the world to laugh at. WTF IS HAPPENING TO THIS WORLD? Tuesday, October 23, 2007 @ 3:34 PM
yikes This is such a friggin' messed up world. What am I to do? Monday, October 22, 2007 @ 1:52 AM
GOSH! I HAD WORK AND IT WAS SO FRIGGIN TIRING I'M GOING TO COLLAPSE IN FRONT OF THE LAPTOP AND DIE. Hahahah. Ok, here's how the sad and tiring story goes. Before we left for work, my dearest brother told me that there were going to be only 50 tables for dinner tonight. I thought to myself "WAH! 50 tables! Sure slack!", ok, i didn't think to myself. I thought out loud. When we reached the workplace, there were really 50 tables and we found out that it was BUFFET. BUFFET LEH, should be damn slack! What's more, it's an Indian wedding, so all we have to do is serve some drinks and clear some plates RIGHT? WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG. It was worse than the Western dinner! T.T Boohoo! The cocktail session stretched for 2 hours.. So there we were, holding 3 drinks on a tray. Then some guest had to request for this drink without ice or a drink that wasn't on the tray that I was holding. Damn, we had to walk around with the heavy trays for 2 hours. OMG! I think I'm going to have a muscleache in my left arm AGAIN. :D Howeverrrrrr, I managed to make NEW FRIENDS! My brother made friends with them first. 2 of them live in Bukit Panjang too while the other came back from Australia for her holidays and is working. There's DESLON who claims he's emo, WEI CHING who is very pretty and lives very near me and REBECCA the very nice girl who got plasters for my blisters. HAHAH. They make my work worthwhile. OF COURSE there's my stupid brother who always smile at me every time we pass each other in the kitchen. :D But I'm still very tired, but I love my colleagues. The irritating girl wasn't here today~ HAHHA. God bless me. :) Yeah, since I'm so tired, WHY THE HELL AM I ONLINE NOW? Because being a very good and studious student that I am, I have decided to do my tutorials! Damn it! There are 2 bloody tutorials due tmr. TMD. For HOM, we gotta do research and for FABM it's pairwork and I haven't even seen the tutorial questions. JIAYOU MAN. No matter how much I have done, I'm going to sleep by 3am. AHHHHHH. :D Friday, October 19, 2007 @ 5:06 PM
oh dear! Oh dear! Fahrenheit is coming on 27th October, and that is a Saturday! Like anybody interested in going with me to the airport and zui ou xiang? HAHHA. Ok, I don't wanna squeeze with 13 - 14 year olds at airports just to take a look at them. I will only go if I can shake hands with them or get their signatures. Realistic fan. HAHHA if Clare is reading this, she would probably go "Whatever!" and rolls her eyes. :D By the way, "Oh dear" is something I like to say to myself nowadays. I have absolutely no idea why, I assume it's Jerald's fault because his MSN nick is "Oh dear female deer". I thought it sounded nice and recited it to myself. IN THE END IT BECOMES SOMETHING THAT ALWAYS POPS UP IN MY MIND. Whether it's something good or bad, I would probably go "Oh dear!". My reaction when I read Wu Chun's blog and found out that Fahrenheit is coming to Singapore was "Oh dear! Fahrenheit is coming to Singapore!". My reaction when I drop something is "Oh dear!". Damn, "Oh dear" is really not a word for me, it sounds too lady-like and makes me seem like i'm always in trouble. Sheesh, I hope I get out of this "Oh dear" phase. :) I think my LMS class is quite fun. We had the prisoner's dilemma game and these 2 groups had to betray these 2 other groups! The group betrayed was my group which included Sophia, Shenn, Yaowei and Jingzhi. But it ended nicely because the groups decided to break even with each other all the way. :D Thank God, or else we would still be bonding in class now with our dear teacher. The punishment for getting the lowest points in the game is to stay back in school for a certain amount of time. :S I'M SLEEPY SHAINE. Ok, that was random. Oh dear, better be off to go surf the net, watch animes and watch dramas. I LOVE YOU, because you managed to finish reading all my crap. :) Wednesday, October 17, 2007 @ 9:59 PM
:D It's the 190th post! 10 more posts and it's TWO HUNDRED! 2-0-0. Anyway! Clare, Elaine, Belinda and I left lecture early. We left in such a hurry I totally forgot about the briefing for those peeps exempted from the 40 hour work thingie. To our surprise, we saw a setup ready for a mini concert! Woah, of course we were curious but we didnt take any notice until Jessie approached us at the bus-stop. She invited us to watch the mini-concert, so Belinda and I did! :D Belinda was SUPER enthusiastic and she won the lucky draw! She got a really nicely designed t-shirt and a dog tag. SHE GAVE ME THE DOG TAG! Thanks so much Berrrr! But i reckon I won't be wearing it often, I would probably give it to my brother. He likes these sort of things. :D

click click click! Feeling desperately bored at home? Think that the world is coming to an end because there is really nothing to do? I HAVE GOT JUST THE THING FOR YOU! Wait no longer, go to this site! :D HTTP://CLICKCLICKCLICK.COM Ever thought of making your family proud and play a part in helping Singapore be number 1?! This is your once-in-alifetime opportunity. CLICK AND CLICK AND CLICK AND CLICK AND CLICK so that Singapore can be number 1! hahhah. My brother was very enthusiastic over this and even asked his ah beng friends to come and click together. And the ah beng friends asked their ah beng friends to click, so in the end, there are like 8 ah bengs clicking on this website altogether(i'm not included). OH OH, my brother treated me to Mac's! :D So i ate and clicked and felt so guilty, I have decided to go jogging tmr morn. Provided that I can wake up lah. :D We managed to click Singapore from rank 42 to 18! Power of the ah bengs! :D Monday, October 15, 2007 @ 8:18 PM
happy birthday :) A very happy birthday to Winnie Ang! :D Lecture today was totally boring, and the class left halfway through because most of the things were already taught in MIEC, like positive and normative statements. SO, we went to the atrium to celebrate Winnie's bday with a mango cake from Jack's Place. Then we went to Jurong East intending to skate BUT there were just sooo many people. We went bowling in the end. I just watched. :D I'm glad I have friends who will be there for me! It isn't the quantity that counts, seriously. Thank you friends, you know who you are. :) Saturday, October 13, 2007 @ 12:53 AM
so lazy! Been awfully lazy to update my blog! I need some inspiration or eventful events to get my blogging spirit up and running. OK, the only eventful event in my life for the past few days had been my TRM Service Leadership Camp. The camp was pretty fun! The games were really interesting, something unexpected.. Camp games are actually all quite the same, but this camp's games is damn out-of-the-box lah! :D OH YAH. I FELL DOWN DURING THE DAMN NIGHT WALK! TMD! Hahaha. And Ivan didn't help by announcing it to almost the whole world. Thanks arh Ivan! :( LOL. I had this girl coming up to me and saying "Shaine, you fell down arh? Ok or not?" -_- I recognise her face but have no idea what her name was. WAH LAO. I love the double-decker beds, i love my bunk mates(although some of them moved out), i love the feel of camping! I LOVE THE RAFTING PART! Even though my heavy butt was sinking into the water, I LOVED IT! The idea of everyone on the DIY raft paddling and doing all we can to sail to the destination! It's damn cool. :D I really have to thank Yu Xue and Jia Wen for listening to my crap, and Zhe Song and Yongliang for crapping. If I had brought my phone down to the canteen, I would have taken a picture of Zhe Song's black sheep lah. The black sheep became a lion! HAHAH. OMG. The the "angel and mortal" game.. The way Zhe Song and Yongliang wrote their letters to their mortals were also super super funny. Yongliang wrote something like "Hi, I'm your angel. Did you realise I have been treating you nicer lately?". LIKE WTH! LOL. Then for the service project, we went to the childcare centre at AMK. OMG, the kids are so adorable! My kid, named Soo Gee is sooooo cute and obedient! I had a really great time working with her because she really listens to what I have to tell her and she does it! I pity Jia Wen though. Jia Wen got the mafia boss who orders her around! The mafia boss refused to paint the koala bear grey and painted it brown instead, cos he loves brown bear too much. He's the brown bear fan club president man. :\ The kids were really adorable! :) Here's the only picture I took at camp. -_- Picture of the CANTEEN! :D ![]() Group 1 to 4 were all at their night walk and I took this picture. :D We spent most of the time at the canteen I think, there is a sense of belonging there already. On the last day, Yinghui and I had to sweep the floor while Ashton wiped the tables. :P Oh! If it hadn't been for the service project, I wouldn't have gone out with Ashton and Clare to Suki sushi the day after the camp. WOO! It was the very first sushi buffet when I didn't stuff myself till I wanted to puke. Clare didn't force-feed me, that much. :D We took pictures and only one turned out fine. The one that turned out fine on my phone was taken by one of the waiters. HAHHA. Take ONE. ![]() Take TWO. ![]() Take THREE! ![]() OK UPDATING TILL HERE. WAHAHHA TMR IM STARTING WORK. wish me luck. Thursday, October 4, 2007 @ 11:24 AM
nothing to blog!@ Life has been boring for me, there is simply nothing for me to really blog about these few days. Oh well, managed to find someone who shares the same interests as me in my camp group and the person is *drumrolls* yuxue! :D She loves DBSK and watches Bleach tooooo. Omigosh, so rare to have my friends like anime AND DBSK with me please. :P Grace, go for camp! :D I don't really know what is happening for the camp thingie. Because I haven't been attending meetings, and even IF I do attend meetings, I would probably not pay attention. Therefore, I thnik I really have to get the details right. Have to meet up with Pui Yin my group leader to get my consent form somemore. -_- As for tomorrow onwards, I would be quite occupied because would be having dinner with QiuXuan at AMK. Saturday having a whole day activity around Singapore for the BAOC'08 SC's, Sunday working from 12pm to 12am at Ritz Carlton. YES! Money money money. FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY. :) /EDIT Oh, not working anymore. I'm just going for the training only. :( |
