I am going Crazy Law(Lor) Postal Rule states that acceptance is complete upon acceptance. The case law to support the postal rule would be Adams v Lindsell. The letter of acceptance was posted on the 5th, and was only received by the offeror on th 9th. In the meantime, on the 8th, the offeror had already sold the wool to a third party. :( The postal rule would help to prevent the offeror from withdrawing the offer while acceptance is still in transit. The offeror can still protect himself by demanding a notice of acceptance, which means that acceptance is only complete when the letter is received. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heh heh heh. It's 4.38pm and I am still at this part of my notes. Cool huh! :D I AM GOING CRAZY ALREADY LAW(LOR)! LAW(LOR) MEE, LOR(LAW) HOR(raining), everything also LAW(LOR)! This person also gets me going crazy, but in a positive way. |
