life is short, treasure it
this morning, i managed to wake up early.
went to mandai crematorium to get the ashes. i always thought ashes would be just grey powder, but to my surprise, the "ashes" were bits and pieces of bones. while walking to the ashes collection centre, saw on this screen that a foetus was going to be cremated. omg lah. i was damn stunned, because the life havent even started and it's going to end. THEN i saw the small coffin for myself! they carried the coffin into one of the service halls when we walked past. the coffin was shorter than my arm. seeing it just makes me feel a bit 心酸.
off to the CCK columbarium, a peaceful and beautiful place. while arrangements were being made, we went off walking around and looking at other tablets(or whatever they are called). saw one where the person was born in 1911! that's so damn long ago, and the picture was of him wearing those chinese dynasty clothes. wah...
then i went to this section where there were quite a number of kids! coincidence or what i dunno. there was this boy who's supposed to be the same age as my brother if he was alive, then there was a baby who lived for less than 6 months after he was born, a 5 year old girl... so many of them... after i saw these just felt sad lah. can't really explain why. their parents must have been heartbroken.
we went back to grandmother's hse after that, then we had lunch together at pioneer mall.
work at night was fine, today's my last night at work. took pictures, exchanged food with sushi tei, joked around. :))
the service staff! regina, min haz and me. annie went home already. :(
with muly the da xiong and hwee ling the pizza woman. xD
with mike our friendly dish-washer! yaaaaay.
